PRIVACY POLICY
Your privacy,
explained plainly
At Dagina 3D, we collect as little personal information as we can, and our try-on camera keeps nothing. This page explains what we do collect, why we need it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Dagina 3D is an augmented reality (AR) jewellery try-on product for jewellery stores. It is run by Dagina 3D, a firm registered in India, with its registered office at Tilak Rd. Pune, Maharashtra (“Dagina 3D”, “we”, “us”).
This policy covers:
- our website, www.dagina3d.com;
- the Dagina 3D app that runs on phones, tablets and kiosks in jewellery stores; and
- the ways we talk to you: email, phone, WhatsApp and visits to your store.
It applies to three groups of people: visitors to our website, jewellers who use Dagina 3D and their staff, and shoppers who try on jewellery in a store.
Our role. For the information described here, we decide why and how it is used, which makes us the “Data Fiduciary” under India’s data protection law. Where we handle information on a store’s behalf, the store is the Data Fiduciary and we act as its “Data Processor”.
We follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules. We have also written this policy to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 as they come into force.
Our try-on uses the camera live, on the store’s device, and keeps nothing. Here is exactly what happens when you sit in front of a Dagina 3D screen.
What the camera is for
The app looks at the live camera picture to find your face, ears and neck. It then draws the jewellery onto that picture, so you see it on yourself in real time.
What happens to the picture
Each frame is used on the device and then discarded. Nothing is recorded, saved, uploaded or sent to us, the store or anyone else. The basic app works without an internet connection.
No recognition
The app does not recognise or identify people. It does not create or keep a face template, faceprint or any other biometric record.
No sign-up
You don’t need an account, and we don’t ask for your name or number to try on jewellery.
No saved photos, for now
The app does not take, save or share photos of your try-on. If we add this, the app will ask your permission on screen first, and we will update this policy before the feature goes live.
Store feedback forms
Some stores add a short feedback form to their Dagina 3D screen. Your answers go to that store and are handled under the store’s own privacy policy. Where we help the store collect or keep them, we act only on the store’s instructions and use them for nothing else.
We collect only what we need to answer you, work with your store and keep our website running.
When you visit our website
Your browser sends us technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open and the time of your visit. Our hosting provider records this in server logs. Cookies are covered in section 7.
When you book a demo or contact us
Our Book a Demo form asks for your name, store name, city, mobile (WhatsApp) number and email. It also asks how many stores you have, which jewellery you want to show, which setup interests you, and anything else you choose to tell us. If you call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we keep your contact details and what you write.
When you apply for a job
We collect your CV, contact details, work history and anything else you send with your application.
When your store uses Dagina 3D
We keep the names and contact details of the owner and staff we work with, and your store’s name and address. We also keep billing details (business name, GSTIN, billing address, payment records), our agreement, support requests and notes from store visits.
Your designs
To build your catalogue, you share 3D design files (such as .3dm, .glb or .fbx) or photos, plus the metals and stones each design offers. This is business information rather than personal information, and we protect it just as carefully (section 5).
We don’t ask for sensitive information such as health details, biometric data or bank card numbers. If you pay by card through a payment gateway, the gateway handles your card details; we only see that the payment went through.
We use your information only for the reasons below, and never for an unrelated purpose without telling you first.
- To arrange and run your demo, answer your questions and send you quotes.
- To set up, update and support Dagina 3D for your store, including building your 3D catalogue and the monthly catalogue updates.
- To send invoices, collect payments and keep accounts and tax records.
- To consider your job application.
- To keep our website and app secure and working, and to improve them.
- To send jewellers occasional news about Dagina 3D, only if you have agreed. Every message tells you how to stop them.
- To meet our legal duties, and to protect our rights if there is a dispute.
Why we’re allowed to. We rely on your consent, such as when you tick the box on our demo form, or on information you give us yourself for a clear purpose, such as a job application. We also use information where the law requires it, for example for tax records. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it; this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.
We use your design files only to build and update your own Dagina 3D catalogue. We never sell them or show them to other stores, and we use them in our own marketing only with your written permission.
The basic app stores your catalogue on your store’s device and runs offline. We update it by visiting your store or by an online update, whichever you prefer.
Only the team members who build and update your catalogue can open your files. We also share them with our design partners, who builds 3D models for us under a confidentiality agreement.
When our agreement ends, we delete or return your files within 30 days, unless you ask us to keep them or the law requires otherwise.
We share personal information only where we need to, and we never sell, rent or trade it.
- Service providers who help us run Dagina 3D, such as website hosting, email and office software, cloud storage, WhatsApp messaging, payments and accounting. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Professional advisers, such as our chartered accountant, auditors and lawyers, who must keep it confidential.
- The store you visited, if you fill in its feedback form: your answers go to that store (section 2). Nothing from the try-on camera is ever shared.
- Government authorities, courts or the police, when the law requires it.
- A new owner, if Dagina 3D is ever sold or merged. They must protect your information as this policy describes.
If you ask, we will tell you which organisations we have shared your information with.
Our website uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as the one that remembers your cookie choice.
We also use Google Analytics, Clarity and Google Search Console to count visits and see which pages help visitors. These cookies are set only after you agree in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t build profiles of our visitors. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; most of the site will still work.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it, then delete it or make it anonymous.
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Camera picture during a try-on | Never kept |
| Demo requests and enquiries, if you don’t become a client | Up to 2 years after our last contact |
| Client records, agreements and invoices | For the length of our agreement, then as long as tax and company laws require |
| Job applications | 12 months after we decide on your application, unless you ask us to keep it longer |
| Website server logs | About one year, unless we need them to look into a problem |
Our service providers may store information on servers in India or abroad. We choose providers that protect it properly, and we follow any limits the Government of India sets on sending personal data outside India.
We protect your information with practical safeguards, and we will tell you if something goes wrong.
- Only the team members who need your information can see it, and they must keep it confidential.
- Our website uses HTTPS, and our business accounts use strong passwords and two-step sign-in.
- The try-on camera picture never leaves the device, so there is no camera data for anyone to intercept or leak.
- We choose service providers with good security, and we keep our own systems up to date.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you without delay and report it to the authorities as Indian law requires.
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your personal information. Under Indian law, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you, how we use it and who we have shared it with.
- Correct, complete or update it.
- Delete it once we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Stop using it where we rely on your consent. Unsubscribing from our emails works the same way.
- Accept a nominee, someone you name to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act yourself.
- Resolve your complaint about how we handle your information.
How to ask. Write to hello@dagina3d.com or to our Grievance Officer (section 14). We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act. We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and reply in full within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can take your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.
Visitors outside India. If you live elsewhere, for example in the EU or the UK, you may have further rights under your local law. Write to us and we will honour them where they apply.
Our website and services are meant for businesses, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through our website.
In a store, children may try on jewellery with their family. The try-on keeps nothing, so it collects no information about them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Our website links to other sites, such as our social media pages and WhatsApp. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is important, we will also post a notice on our website and email our clients before it takes effect. We will not use your information in a new way without telling you first and, where the law requires, asking for your consent again.
For any question, request or complaint about your privacy, contact our Grievance Officer. This is the role the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules require, and the same person answers questions about your personal information under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
